J. M. Malinky 1987 | Diagnosis. Decoritheca having shallow ventral concavity with poorly developed kid- ney-shaped transverse outline; closely spaced transverse threads cover dorsum and venter on shell.
Venter has shallow, median concavity, bounded on both sides by low ridges; concavity deepest near apertural end becoming shallower toward apex; ridges grade into narrowly rounded lateral margins, and dorsum inflated and broadly rounded; resulting transverse outline kidney-shaped; apical end of shell appears straight. Shell covered with fine, closely spaced transverse lirae on both dorsum and venter; internal mold and operculum unknown. |
