Hyolithes fuchouensis was named by Resser and Endo (1937) [COMMENTS: Morphology of the type does not suggest affinity to Hyolitha. Better preserved specimens may show that this species should be excluded completely from the Hyolitha. TAPHONOMY: This species is based upon several fragmentary steinkerns having scattered pieces of shell adhering to them.]. It is a mold.
