Taxonomy
Ceratites (Halilucites) was named by Diener (1907) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Anis-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Ceratites (Hungarites) rusticus.

It was Eutomoceras (Halilucites) by Smith (1914); it was reranked as Halilucites by Spath (1951), Tozer (1981), Sepkoski (2002), Tongtherm et al. (2016) and Vörös (2018).

It was assigned to Eutomoceras by Smith (1914); to Ceratites by Diener (1907) and Alma (1926); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Ceratitidae by Spath (1951) and Tongtherm et al. (2016); and to Paraceratitinae by Tozer (1981) and Vörös (2018).
