Taxonomy
Hanielites was named by Welter (1922) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Hanielites elegans.

It was assigned to Xenodiscidae by Tozer (1981); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Kashmiritidae by Spath (1934), Brayard et al. (2013) and Đaković et al. (2022).
