Taupezia landeri was named by Delair (1963). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Delair coll., a footprint, and it is a trace fossil. Its type locality is Lander's Quarry, Gallows Gore, which is in a Berriasian marginal marine limestone in the Durlston Formation of the United Kingdom.

J. B. Delair 1963Tridactyle footprints, having the middle digit (II) set at right-angles to the other two (I and III) so as to form an impression of a general T-shape. The middle digit longer than the outer two, and characterized by a gradual tapering towards the anterior terminal border. Outer digits (I and III) more robust, of almost equal length, and terminating in rounded borders.
