Taxonomy
Eubrontes titanopelopatidus was named by Shuler (1917). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a trace fossil. Its type locality is TMM 43032, Paluxy River #D1, which is in an Albian lagoonal limestone in the Glen Rose Limestone Formation of Texas.

It was recombined as Megalosauropus titanopelobatidus by Haubold (1971); it was misspelled as Eubrontes titanoplopatidus by Perkins and Stewart (1971); it was considered a nomen nudum by Langston (1974); it was considered a nomen nudum by Farlow (1987); it was considered a nomen dubium by Pittman (1989).
