Taxonomy
Orthis perpasta was named by Pompeckj (1896). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Nisusia (Jamesella).

It was recombined as Nisusia (Jamesella) perpasta by Walcott (1905); it was recombined as Jamesella perpasta by Geyer and Mergl (1997).
