Taxonomy
Biplica isoplicata was named by Popenoe (1957). Its type specimen is UCLA 27742, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is UCLA loc. 3287, Salt Creek, which is in a Turonian marine sandstone in the Redding Formation of California.
