It was assigned to Celtitidae by Smith (1927); to Paranannitidae by Spath (1934); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Melagathiceratidae by Tozer (1981), Tozer (1994), Brayard et al. (2013) and Shigeta and Nguyen (2014); and to Meekoceratidae by Tongtherm et al. (2016).
