Taxonomy
Keyserlingites was named by Hyatt (1900) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u Tr Anis-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302,1066]. It is the type genus of Keyserlingitidae.

It was assigned to Keyserlingitinae by Tozer (1994); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
