Taxonomy
Kingoceras was named by Miller (1944) [Sepkoski's age data: P Guad-u P Djhu Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Kingoceras achurense.

It was assigned to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Araxoceratidae by Leonova (2002); and to Paraceltitidae by Korn (2006).
