Turritella (Torquesia) granulata

Taxonomy
Turritella granulata was named by Sowerby (1827). Its type specimen is BMNH G. 43667, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Horizon C, Blackborough, Devon (Blackdown Greensand), which is in an Albian coastal sandstone in the Blackdown Greensand Formation of the United Kingdom. It is the type species of Torquesia.

It was recombined as Turritella (Torquesia) granulata by Abbass (1962).
