Lyubasha gracilis was named by Roniewicz (2008). Its type locality is Lyubasha Mountain, Lyalintsi, 325 m, which is in a Valanginian perireef or subreef limestone in the Slivnitsa Formation of Bulgaria. It is the type species of Lyubasha.
