Taxonomy
Otoceltites was named by Diener (1916) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Celtites perauritus.

It was assigned to Celtitidae by Spath (1951); to Thanamitidae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
