Cavellina bellerophonella
Taxonomy
Cavellina bellerophonella was named by Crasquin (2008). Its type specimen is P6M2330, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bulla section BU1A, ostracod unit, Ortisei, which is in a Changhsingian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal marl/dolomite in the Bellerophon Formation of Italy.
