Taxonomy
Paragoceras was named by Arthaber (1911) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Paragoceras dukagini.
It was assigned to Paranannitidae by Spath (1934); to Columbitidae by Tozer (1981); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Paragoceratidae by Guex et al. (2010).
