Cavellina alpina

Taxonomy
Cavellina alpina was named by Crasquin (2008). Its type specimen is P6M2336, a carapace, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Bulla Section BUCS1, Ostracod unit, Ortisei, which is in a Changhsingian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal dolomite/wackestone in the Bellerophon Formation of Italy.
