Parussuria was named by Spath (1934) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Ussuria compressa.
It was assigned to Ussuridae by Spath (1934); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Ussuriidae by Kummel (1969), Tozer (1981), Brayard et al. (2013), Shigeta and Nguyen (2014) and Smyshlyaeva et al. (2018).
