Pericarinoceras was named by Zhao and Liang (1966) [Sepkoski's age data: P Djhu Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Pericarinoceras robustum.
It was assigned to Anderssonoceratidae by Leonova (2002); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Anderssonoceratinae by Korn (2006).
