Perrinoceras was named by Johnston (1941) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Carn-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Longobarditinae by Spath (1951); to Hungaritidae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
