Ponteixites robustus
Taxonomy
Ponteixites robustus was named by Warren (1934). Its type specimen is Nat. Mus. of Canada 8738, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Notukeu Creek [Bearpaw Fm], which is in a Campanian marine claystone/shale in the Bearpaw Formation of Canada. It is the type species of Ponteixites.
