Taxonomy
Liopistha (Psilomya) allani was named by Warren (1933) [TYPE SPECIMEN: Based on the first of the listed cotypes.]. Its type specimen is University of Alberta Geological Museum Ct. 557, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Murray River (East Pine) [Kaskapu Fm], which is in a Turonian/Coniacian marine shale in the Kaskapau Formation of Canada.
