Pseudotoceras was named by Ruzhencev (1962) [Sepkoski's age data: P Dora Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Pseudotoceras armenorum.
It was assigned to Araxoceratidae by Leonova (2002); to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Araxoceratinae by Korn (2006).
