Psilosturia was named by Diener (1916) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Olen-u Tr Anis-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302,1066]. It is not extant. Its type is Sturia mongolica.
It was assigned to Ptychitidae by Spath (1951); to Sturiidae by Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
