Taxonomy
Sibyllites was named by Mojsisovics (1893) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr Ladi-u , Tr Carn-l Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Sibyllites tenuispinatus.

It was assigned to Tropitidae by Spath (1951) and Tozer (1981); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
