Taxonomy
Siculites was named by Gemmellaro (1904) [Sepkoski's age data: Tr u Sepkoski's reference number: 302]. It is not extant. Its type is Siculites dolomiticus.

It was assigned to Thisbitidae by Spath (1951) and Tozer (1981); to Parathisbitidae by Tozer (1994); and to Ceratitida by Sepkoski (2002).
