Taxonomy
Euphylloceras was named as a genus. It is not extant. Its type is Euphylloceras ponticuli.

It was reranked as Phylloceras (Euphylloceras) by Collignon (1962); it was synonymized subjectively with Hypophylloceras by Wright et al. (1996).

It was assigned to Phylloceras by Collignon (1962); to Phylloceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Phylloceratinae by Murphy and Rodda (2006) and Matsukawa (2021).
