It was assigned to Phylloceratitida by Sepkoski (2002); to Discamphiceratinae by Blau (1998) and Meister and Friebe (2003); to Bouhamidoceratinae by Sarih et al. (2007); to Galaticeratinae by Geczy and Meister (2007); and to Ectocentritinae by Hoffmann (2010).
