Marinopecten caparayensis

Taxonomy
Marinopecten caparayensis was named by Termier et al. (1974). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Caparay Ghar Section 1C, Bed 34, Wardak, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal wackestone in the Wardak Formation of Afghanistan. It is the type species of Marinopecten.
