Taxonomy
Ankinatsytes venezolanus was named by Renz (1982). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is La Paragua, 30 m above Barroisiceras zone [Timbetes Mbr, La Luna Fm], which is in a Coniacian marine limestone in the La Luna Formation of Venezuela.
