It was assigned to Anaptomorphidae by Simpson (1940); to Plesiadapoidea by Gunnell (1989); to Paromomyiformes by Beard (1993); to Dermoptera by Beard (1991), Robinson and Ivy (1994) and McKenna and Bell (1997); to Paromomyoidea by Szalay and Delson (1979) and Fox et al. (2010); and to Primates by Robinson (1968), Gazin (1969), Bloch et al. (2007), Silcox et al. (2010) and Rose et al. (2012).
