Periconodon lemoinei
Taxonomy
Periconodon lemoinei was named by Gingerich (1977). Its type specimen is Louis coll. Gr-106, a tooth (isolated lower right molar), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Carrière "Grauves", which is in a Ypresian terrestrial horizon in France.
It was recombined as Protoadapis lemoinei by Tattersall and Schwartz (1983).
