Taxonomy
Jeletzkytes dorfi was named by Landman and Waage (1993). Its type specimen is YPM 23175, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is RB103, Redbird, which is in a Maastrichtian marine sandstone in the Fox Hills Formation of Wyoming.
