Taxonomy
Ancyloceras jenneyi was named by Whitfield (1877). It is a 3D body fossil. It is the type species of Exiteloceras.

It was recombined as Exiteloceras jenneyi by Cobban (1970), Kennedy and Cobban (1997), Kennedy et al. (2000) and Ifrim et al. (2015).
