Taxonomy
Pholadomya kasanensis was named by Geinitz (1880). It is the type species of Siphogrammysia.

It was recombined as Goniomya kasanensis by Astre (1934); it was recombined as Palaeocosmomya kazanensis by Muromtseva and Guskov (1984); it was recombined as Siphogrammysia kasanensis by Morris et al. (1991).
