Paleolimulus signatus

Taxonomy
Prestwichia signata was named by Beecher (1904). Its type specimen is USNM 483405 and is a mold. Its type locality is Stockdale Recreation Area, Tuttle Creek Lake, which is in an Artinskian shallow subtidal limestone in the Fort Riley Formation of Kansas.

It was recombined as Paleolimulus signatus by Babcock and Merriam (2000), Babcock et al. (2000), Lamsdell (2016) and Lamsdell (2020).
