Taxonomy
Schizodus ferrieri was named by Girty (1910). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 980, Waterloo Mine, Montpelier, which is in a Roadian offshore ramp limestone in the Phosphoria Formation of Idaho.
