Taxonomy
Montastraea nancyi was named by Pandolfi (2007). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Clermont Nose, loc. AFO, Durants reef terrace, which is in a Pleistocene reef, buildup or bioherm limestone in Barbados.
It was recombined as Orbicella nancyi by Kiessling (2014).
