Vascoceras globosum

Taxonomy
Pachyvascoceras globosum was named by Reyment (1954). Its type specimen is BMNH C.47408, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gombe, lower horizon, which is in a Cenomanian/Turonian carbonate limestone in Nigeria.

It was synonymized subjectively with Vascoceras proprium by Kennedy et al. (1987); it was recombined as Vascoceras globosum by Barber (1957) and Gale et al. (2005).
