Chesapeakiceras nodatum
Taxonomy
Chesapeakella nodatum was named by Kennedy and Cobban (1993). Its type specimen is USNM 445236, a shell, and it is a mold. Its type locality is USGS D9719, Chesapeake and DE. Canal [Merchantville Fm], which is in a Santonian marine sandstone in the Merchantville Formation of Delaware. It is the type species of Chesapeakiceras, Chesapeakella.
It was recombined as Chesapeakiceras nodatum by Gane et al. (2016).
