Ammonites geslinianum was named by d'Orbigny (1841). It is a 3D body fossil.
It was recombined as Metoicoceras geslinianum by Chancellor (1982), Cobban and Kennedy (1991), Meister et al. (1992), Barroso-Barcenilla (2004), Abdel-Gawad (2008), Wilmsen and Nagm (2013), Wilmsen and Nagm (2014) and Guendouz et al. (2022).
It was recombined as Metoicoceras geslinianum by Chancellor (1982), Cobban and Kennedy (1991), Meister et al. (1992), Barroso-Barcenilla (2004), Abdel-Gawad (2008), Wilmsen and Nagm (2013), Wilmsen and Nagm (2014) and Guendouz et al. (2022).
