Barnesoceras clavatum

Taxonomy
Barnesoceras clavatum was named by Flower (1964). Its type specimen is RHF 248, a shell, and it is a cast. Its type locality is Threadgill Creek section (272-276 ft above base of Threadgill Mbr.), which is in a Gasconadian shallow subtidal lime mudstone in the Tanyard Formation of Texas. It is the type species of Barnesoceras.
