Taxonomy
Anapachydiscus nelchinensis was named by Jones (1963). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS Mesozoic 24217, Alfred Creek, which is in a Campanian marine siliciclastic in the Matanuska Formation of Alaska.
