It was corrected as Ammonites peramplus by de Sowerby (1823); it was recombined as Neoptychites peramplus by de Grossouvre (1901); it was recombined as Pachydiscus peramplus by Stille (1904); it was recombined as Lewesiceras peramplus by Young (1979) and Wright and Kennedy (1984); it was recombined as Lewesiceras peramplum by Housa (1967), Chancellor et al. (1994), Wilmsen and Nagm (2013), Wilmsen and Nagm (2014) and Benzaggagh et al. (2017).
