Taxonomy
Nostoceras rotundum was named by Howarth (1965). Its type specimen is BMNH C. 52745, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Barra do Dande, Benguela basin, which is in a Campanian marine horizon in Angola.
