Taxonomy
Boreoceras parvulum was named by Miller and Youngquist (1947). Its type specimen is a series of syntypes in the YPM and is a cast. Its type locality is Fossil Point, Read Island, which is in a Tremadocian carbonate dolomite in Canada.
