Taxonomy
Meekopora polarica was named by Gorjunova (1964). Its type specimen is PIN 1692/287 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Cheshskoy Bay, Kazanian, Kanin Peninsula, which is in a Roadian marine siliciclastic in the Kazan Formation of the Russian Federation.
