It was recombined as Streptorhynchus semiplanus by Frech (1911) and Shimizu (1961); it was recombined as Streptorhynchus (Schuchertella) semiplana by Reed (1944) and Shen and Shi (2007); it was recombined as Streptorhynchus semiplanum by Fantini Sestini (1965); it was recombined as Schuchertella semiplana by Yang et al. (1977), Lee and Gu (1980), Yang (1984), Shen and He (1994), Campi et al. (2005), Angiolini and Carabelli (2010), Crippa and Angiolini (2012) and Tazawa and Nakamura (2015).
