Cartersoceras noveboracense
Taxonomy
Murrayoceras noveboracense was named by Flower (1952). It is not extant. Its type specimen is a specimen in the NYSM, a partial shell. Its type locality is Jones quarry, Chazy, which is in a Mohawkian carbonate limestone in the Amsterdam limestone Formation of New York.
It was recombined as Cartersoceras noveboracense by Flower (1964).
