Taxonomy
Endocycloceras gracile was named by Flower (1964). Its type specimen is NMBM 653, a shell, and it is a cast. Its type locality is Mud Springs Mountain (Mud Springs Mt. Fm.), which is in a Demingian reef, buildup or bioherm reef rocks in the Mud Springs Mountain Formation of New Mexico.
